WHAT IS VIRTUAL PRODUCTION?

Virtual production technology allows filmmakers to create films in worlds of their own creation—and it’s changing how we make movies. This technology is used to create images and sequences that could not have been made in real life. It helps filmmakers express their artistic visions and tell stories with a greater level of detail, control and creativity than was previously possible. It allows the creators to film set designs, lights and camera movements “virtually” using computer software. This creates an environment where you can test different scenes that were hard to shoot in real life, improve scripts, help overcome logistical nightmares on set, and reduce the need to change the script during shooting. 

Using virtual production is an effective way to achieve success without compromising your schedule or budget. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The platform makes use of a combination of immersive technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality as well as CGI and game-engine technologies, allowing filmmakers to “see their scenes unfold as they are composed and captured on set”
